Job summary

Vertiv is seeking candidates with heavy forklift or crane experience to safely move parts in a fast-paced plant environment. You will read blueprints, use hand tools and torque wrenches, and collaborate with shipping and production to meet schedules. Overtime may be required; no climate control in the plant, but large fans are present.

• Experience operating large forklifts (15K-35K) and/or overhead cranes.
• Mechanical inclination with knowledge of chain hoists, shackles and slings.
• Ability to read blueprints and use hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs consistently and safely.
• Overtime willingness and safe, positive attitude toward targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and possibly overhead crane safely to move parts per schedule.
• Work with shipping and production teams to align material movement with business needs.
• Read blueprints, install copper/aluminum, and use hand tools/torque wrenches.
• Provide troubleshooting and report production quality gaps.

Essential Job Functions ** We are specifically looking for LARGE FORKLIFT (!) (15K to 35K) and/or CRANE Experience. Just Forklift experience is fine. Just Crane experience would be fine. No certifications needed... Also looking for Very mechanically inclined candidates with Chain Hoists, Shackle, and Sling Experience. Mechanical Fitter or Tooling is a nice bonus... You could be a Mechanical Fitter with some Forklift experience and that could work. **We work Overtime sometimes and our plant is Not climate-controlled but has large fans etc. Maintain positive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding accountability, and safety. Use of hand-held controls to operate a Forklift and possibly an overhead crane in a safe manner. Work with the shipping team to ensure that parts are moved in accordance with business needs. Read blueprints to install copper and aluminum and use hand tools and torque wrenches Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. consistently / safely.
