Job summary

LGH USA in Troy, MI is seeking a mechanically inclined individual to maintain rental equipment and ensure immediate availability for safe use. The role includes inspecting orders, disassembling and repairing hoisting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, operating a forklift, and transporting orders as needed.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with occasional overtime. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour, with potential increases after 6 months and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical background or aptitude strongly preferred.
• Hand and power tool experience desired.
• Experience with rigging equipment such as air hoists, comealongs, manual hoists or electric hoists beneficial.
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and ability to meet insurance guidelines required.
• DOT certification required upon commencement of employment (LGH expense).
• Physical ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift/carry up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment orders and inspect to ensure quality standards.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test electrical, hand operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on rental equipment.
• Operate forklift to load/unload and move equipment within the warehouse.
• Drive company vehicles to transport rental orders safely and promptly.
