Job summary

Productions Unlimited, Inc. in Roebuck, SC is seeking a hands-on Lead Rigging Supervisor to guide the design, installation, and servicing of rigging systems, including motorized hoists and truss. You will manage projects, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safe, high-quality installations.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in rigging, ETCP Rigger – Theatre certification, and AutoCAD experience. The role is full-time with comprehensive benefits and a clear path to leadership within the Rigging

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
• ETCP Rigger – Theatre certification is required.
• Experience with theatrical rigging equipment and manufacturers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Rigging Team in the design, installation, and servicing of Rigging Systems (motorized hoists, chain motors, truss, fly systems, and structural rigging); sales of projects; and creation of submittals and post project documentation.
• Coordinate rigging installations on job sites with General Contractors, Electricians, Structural Steel, Owners, and other trades.
• Act as a project manager as required.
• Plan and schedule team members for department functions (designs, installations, quotations, service calls, etc.).
• Train team members on relevant tasks, including safe rigging practices, load calculations, and inspection procedures.

Job description

• Work to make the Rigging Department a “well oiled” machine regarding timeliness, accuracy, safety, and high-quality installations.
• Conduct weekly department meetings with the Rigging Team.
• Work with project managers to coordinate rigging installations on job sites with General Contractors, Electricians, Structural Steel, Owners, and other trades.
• Act as a project manager as required.
• Plan and schedule team members for department functions (designs, installations, quotations, service calls, etc.).
• Make sure that clients are responded to in a meaningful and timely manner.
• Work with purchasing and logistics to ensure that your team has the materials they need when they need them.
• Make recommendations for team member training.
• Train team members on relevant tasks, including safe rigging practices, load calculations, and inspection procedures.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring new team members.
• Help maintain a clean working environment in the office and on job sites.
• Work with other departments to schedule multi-department projects.
• Advise leadership when more team members are required as well as when team members need to be reassigned or terminated.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role is required.
• ETCP Rigger – Theatre certification is required.
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• Experience with Theatrical rigging equipment and manufactures is a plus.

Additional Information

• Full-time, exempt position with salary depending on experience, education, and training. Range $85,000–$110,000.00
• PUI will pay for a portion of your individual health insurance eligible at the first of the month following 30 days, if you wish.
• Vision care insurance is available for a weekly deduction from your pay at the first of the month following 30 days if you wish.
• Dental care insurance is available for a weekly deduction from your pay the first of the month following 30 days if you wish.

• Paid Time Off (PTO) will be provided as follows:
• Seven days paid after the first year of employment (56 hours)
• Fourteen days paid after two years employment (112 hours)
• Twenty-one days paid after five years of employment (168 hours)
• PTO not used during 12 months of employment will be paid out up to 40 hours at your standard hourly wage. You may take additional time off as unpaid vacation.
• Eligible for enrollment in our company matching 401K plan after one year of service.
• Eight companywide paid holidays are included. (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day).
