The role requires supervising 50–100+ staff, coordinating schedules and budgets, and delivering practical solutions to keep programs on track. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in shipyard/industrial settings, strong technical knowledge, and proven ability to coach and develop teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years shipyard/industry experience.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in the craft.
• Ability to plan, schedule, supervise and develop subordinates.
• Able to exercise discretion in operations and personnel decisions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and similar software.
• Capable of clear work instructions and effective written communication.
• Proficient blueprint reading and NAVSEA specification comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Identify and ensure timely, effective completion of tasks while following company policies.
• Supervise employees, manage performance, promotions/demotions, and discipline.
• Allocate personnel and resources to support all contracts, including shift work.
• Monitor schedule and cost performance, review projects, and develop practical solutions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are pursued.
• Foster training and motivation in technical, safety, and environmental areas.
