Job summary

Skillforce is seeking experienced Journeyman Riggers for a 3-week project in Homer City, PA. You will plan and perform rigging operations for heavy equipment, inspect gear, and coordinate with crane operators to ensure safe lifts.

Applicants should have 5+ years in industrial rigging, knowledge of load calculations, and the ability to read lift plans. Travel may be required; OSHA 10/30 is a plus. Weekly pay and health insurance are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial rigging experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of rigging safety practices and load calculations.
• Ability to read lift plans and follow detailed instructions.
• Experience working around cranes and heavy equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and, if required, background check.

Responsibilities

Skillforce is currently seeking experienced Journeyman Riggers for a 3-week project based out of Homer City, PA. We are looking for dependable riggers with experience safely moving, positioning, and securing heavy equipment in industrial and commercial environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and perform rigging operations for heavy equipment and materials
• Inspect and properly use slings, chains, wire rope, shackles, spreader bars, and other rigging equipment
• Signal and communicate with crane operators during lifts
• Calculate load weights and determine proper rigging methods
