Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a RIGGING WORKER to support Department of Navy projects across Portsmouth, Puget Sound, Norfolk, Bangor, and Pearl Harbor shipyards. Candidates must be prepared to operate in diverse duty sites and travel as required, with emphasis on rigging supervision and load security.

The role requires adherence to rigging standards and safety practices, and the ability to assist senior riggers in handling heavy loads and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with rigging in heavy equipment environments.
  • Ability to follow established rigging methods and safety practices.
  • Able to work with journeymen riggers and lead less skilled workers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Riggers in dry docking and launching operations.
  • Direct operations of cranes and similar equipment using standard signals.
  • Determine placement of gear to secure and balance loads.
  • Perform spot checks to ensure rigging methods and safety practices are followed.
  • Wear protective equipment as required for assignments.
  • Assist Journeymen Riggers in installation, removal and repositioning of machinery and loads.
