Job summary

Zachry Group in Freeport, TX is seeking skilled Riggers to manage lifting and rigging of heavy equipment and materials. You will inspect equipment, plan lifts, attach loads with slings, chains and hooks, and signal the operator during lifts to ensure safe placement.

Qualified candidates will have experience as a Journeyman Rigger, knowledge of NCCER/NCCCO certifications or equivalent, and the ability to work at heights while following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety observer on equipment lifts.
• Inspect rigging equipment and plan lifts using load data.
• Attach loads with slings, chains, hooks, and other gear.
• Signal to operators and guide loads during lifts.
• Climb structures to position loads and stabilize rigging.
• Detach loads and remove rigging after placement.
• Place and remove outrigger pads from cranes and heavy equipment.
