Job summary

ZACHRY Group is seeking an experienced NCCO/NCCER Industrial Rigger for a Baseload Maintenance project in Cameron, LA. Must have TWIC and a current driver license. The qualified candidate will plan lifts, inspect rigging, and signal operators during lifts to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities include loading and guiding heavy equipment, tying loads, and using slings, chains, and hooks. Candidates must meet physical requirements and stand capable of heights and demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Journeyman Rigger.
• Must complete the NCCO/NCCER Rigging assessment.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety observer on equipment lifts.
• Inspect all rigging equipment.
• Plan or assist in planning of lifts.
• Attach loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
• Tie rope around load for guiding during lifting and positioning.
• Signal Equipment operator during lifts for directional or placement instructions.
• Guides load during lift and positioning.
• Climb structures to guide and position load.
• Assist in connecting or stabilizing of load prior to detaching load.
• Detach loads and remove rigging equipment.
• Place and remove outrigger pads from Cranes and other heavy equipment.
