Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Rigging Helper for a project in Conover, NC. You will assist with positioning rigging equipment, follow directions from the Rigger, and help ensure safe and efficient lifts on site.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication.
• Safety training and general job training as required by SIC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the positioning of rigging equipment as directed by the Rigger.
• Select cables, ropes, pulleys, winches and hardware according to load requirements.
• Attach rigging to overhead structures and ensure secure connections.
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and hazards.
• Follow signals and plan installation sequences to avoid conflicts.
• Secure material and rigging gear for transport.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights and perform housekeeping.
• Recognize and respond to dangerous conditions on site.
