W. O. Grubb Crane Rental is seeking a rigger to set up and repair rigging for construction, manufacturing, or shipyard projects. You will handle lifting operations, read specs, and use hoists, winches, and cranes while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The role requires 1–3 years of rigging experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to pass background and drug checks. A high school diploma is required, with a preferred associate’s degree.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years crane rigging or heavy lift experience.
• Must pass drug test, background check, and fit-for-duty test.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Signal or verbally direct workers during hoisting to ensure safety.
• Test rigging for safety and reliability.
• Attach loads to rigging for moving using hand and power tools.
• Select cables, pulleys, and winches according to load and schedule.
• Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver around obstacles.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery.
• Move rigging lines and hoisting gear to support materials.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
• Assist with crane setup.
