Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is an engineering/construction company, part of Koch Engineered Solutions, with a Baytown, TX site seeking a Rigger to lift and move heavy equipment, attach loads, and monitor rigging gear.

The role requires NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1, 1.5+ years as a rigger or ironworker, travel, and 12-hour shifts. Safety-focused team environment and adherence to client safety policies are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a rigger or ironworker.
• NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1 is required.
• Knowledgeable of crane signals (hand and verbal).
• Travel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas.
• Must be able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week when needed by project schedule demands.
• Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
• Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other related equipment.
• Able to manually handle and securely apply rigging equipment.
• Attach and detach loads effectively.
• Monitor and maintain all rigging equipment.
• Able to effectively communicate with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator).
