Job summary

Landwehr Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled crane and rigging technician to join our Sioux Falls team. The role is a union position dispatched from the Sioux Falls, SD office, with most work outdoors and varying start times based on customer demand.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of rigging and Versa lift experience. You’ll operate multiple crane models, ensure safety, and coordinate with the office for scheduling and progress updates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years rigging and Versa lift experience preferred.
• Able to operate multiple crane models safely and efficiently.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate all models of mobile, telescopic, truck-mounted/boom crane.
• Oversee rigging setup to ensure safe lifting of loads.
• Direct crane operators via hand signals or radio for safe hoisting.
• Inspect rigging gear and perform routine maintenance and storage.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Travel overnight as needed for job sites.
