Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an experienced Rig Welder in Elko, NV to plan, lay-out, weld, install and test pipe and tubular products to applicable plans and welding codes. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding background and a track record of meeting customer expectations on time and on budget.

The position requires minimum 5 years of welding experience, a welding qualification, OSHA 10 certification, and proficiency with SMAW, FCAW and GMAW.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of welding experience.
• Welding qualification is required.
• Orbital welding training will be provided but experience is a plus.
• Must meet all state license requirements.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Proficiency with SMAW, FCAW and GMAW welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial piping and related structures.
• Supervise and train welder helpers.
• Understand contract plans and specifications; plan, lay out, install and repair piping per plans.
• Inspect field conditions, identify problems and take corrective actions.
• Select appropriate filler metals and materials to complete assignments.
