Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Pipe Welder for our Riggs Fabrication Facility to fit and weld carbon steel and stainless piping for industrial projects. Read drawings, follow procedures, and produce welds that meet code requirements.

Candidates should have 3+ years of pipe welding, 2G/3G FCAW/GMAW experience, and the ability to pass weld tests. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a fabrication shop. Forklift or rigging experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial pipe welding experience.
• Ability to pass Loenbro welding test and project weld qualifications.
• 2G,3G GMAW/FCAW welding knowledge; 6G preferred
• Strong understanding of weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of pipe fabrication, fit-up tolerances, and welding procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW and GMAW welding processes as required.
• Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, spool sheets and weld procedures.
• Fabricate and weld carbon steel process piping.
• Inspect materials and completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Operate grinders, torches, beveling equipment and other fabrication tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with safety policies, procedures and quality standards.
