Job summary

Loenbro is seeking experienced Rig Welders to join our team. This role will plan, lay out, weld, install, test and repair pipe and tubular products in accordance with plans, specs, welding codes, and industry standards. We are looking for hardworking professionals who meet challenges and exceed customer expectations.

Long-term growth with a secure company is available. Candidates should have welding experience, including SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW, with minimum five years.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years welding experience required.
Experience in construction, mining or related industry; two-year vocational-technical degree preferred.
Welding qualification is a requirement; orbital welding training provided.
Must meet all state license requirements.
Proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW; Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting.
OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial piping and related structures.
Supervise and train welder helpers.
Understand contract plans; plan, lay-out, install and repair piping per plans and specifications.
Inspect field conditions; identify problems and cost-saving measures; take corrective actions.
Choose filler metals and construction materials to complete assignments.
Other duties may be assigned to support operations.

Job Summary

This position will plan, lay-out, weld, install, test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in welding to complete jobs for customers on time and on budget. Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial oil refining piping and associated structures.
Supervise and train welder helpers.
Develop a complete understanding of contract plans and specifications, and plan, lay-out, install and/or repair all types of piping in accordance with those plans and specifications.
Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
Properly choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

Minimum of 5 yearsof welding experience required.
Prior welding experience in the construction, mining or related industry or prefer a two-year vocational-technical degree.

Completing a welding qualification is a requirement.
Orbital welding training will be provided but prior orbital welding experience is a plus.
Must meet all state license requirements.

Accurate and precise attention to detail.
Must have working knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations regarding piping systems.
Must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
Must have proficiency in commonly used welding processes, including SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW. Other processes utilized are Oxy-Fuel Welding and Cutting.
OSHA 10 certification.

Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
Must be able to work as a team and solve problems.

Work Environment:

Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
