Job summary

Texas Compression, LLC is seeking experienced rig welders for upcoming projects across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The role requires extensive experience with P1, P4, P5A, P8 and P15E materials and performing routine welding with clearly defined processes.

Candidates must pass P1 and P15E tests in 6G position, have a minimum 5 years of vessel, tube and/or pipe welding experience, and be fluent in English. Ability to read P&ID and blueprints and work outdoors in all weather is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be fluent in English (Speak, Read & Write).
• Required to pass P1 and P15E tests in 6G position.
• Minimum 5 years of Vessel, Tube and/or Pipe Welding.
• Must have experience reading and understanding P&ID's & blueprints.
• Must be capable of reading, interpreting and executing a weld procedure.

• Read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.

• Experience with hand, pneumatic and power tools.
• Must be able to work with the team.
• Capable of completing safety, production and quality control forms.
• Capable of maintaining and operating welding machines.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Requires operation of heavy equipment such as manlifts, forklifts or telehandlers on occasion.
• Requires employee to use a computer, smart phone and other office equipment such as copiers and printers.

Texas Compression is a Houston-based mechanical and Industrial services contractor servicing customer across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. We are currently looking for experienced rig welders for upcoming projects. This candidate should have extensive experience with P1, P4, P5A, P8 & P15E material. Employee will be responsible for completing routine welding assignments with a clearly defined process.

• Must have experience reading and understanding P&ID's & blueprints.
• Must be capable of reading, interpreting and executing a weld procedure.
• Requires employee to stand for at least 90% of the day.
• Requires constant movement in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including confined spaces.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
• Requires employee to frequently inspect equipment, climb stairs or ladders and must be able to maintain balance.
• Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers in the event of an emergency.
• Requires work in outdoors and in all weather conditions.
• Requires work in a non-climate- controlled facility.
• Requires work in loud environments.

Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• Clear Drug Screen, Clear Background Screen & Clear Driving Record
• Basic+ & TWIC (Required) OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
• Position may require travel and employee may be required to drive their own vehicle.
• Position requires employee must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, hard hat, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, steel-toed boots, where applicable.
