Job summary

True Drilling LLC is hiring a Floorman for a full-time, on-site role in Watford City, North Dakota. You will support rig operations, assemble/disassemble drill pipe, and work with the rig crew on various drilling tasks.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and drilling experience, are at least 18 years old, and can pass background and drug/alcohol checks. Excellent physical fitness and willingness to relocate are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months of drilling experience.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• English language fluency, verbal and written.
• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Travel and relocate for temporary assignments as rigs are moved.
• Work on rig floor in tandem with Motorman, Derrickman, and Driller; assemble and disassemble drill pipe using ST-80 and tongs while tripping and making connections; work in tandem with rig crew and casing crew while running casing.
• Operate boom line, air hoist/hydraulic hoists to lift and move heavy supplies, equipment, and pipe.
• Move casing or drill pipe joints to and from pipe racks, catwalk, ramp, and rig floor as required.
• Check mud; carry 100-pound mud sacks from storage to hopper and mixes mud in hopper as directed.
• Repair drilling machinery, pumps, and derrick; racks tools, and cleans drilling floor around rig.
• Gather drill cutting samples for geologists' review.
• Perform routine and preventive rig servicing, repair, and maintenance, including scrubbing and painting, when operations do not require presence on rig floor.
• Assist in erecting and dismantling rigs and associated drill site systems.
