Job summary

Ranger Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Derrick Hand to monitor and support daily operations on a well servicing rig. You will assist with rigging up/down, tubing handling, and operating the rig when required, while prioritizing safety and equipment integrity.

The role requires basic maintenance, adherence to procedures, and strong communication with the Rig Operator. A valid CDL or driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred.
• Familiar with pump and tank operations.
• Must have a valid state issued driver’s license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one.
• Must be able to successfully perform the duties of a floor hand.
• Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment.
• Knowledge of running tongs and related equipment.
• Competent communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required.
• Operate the Geronimo rig correctly.
• Assist in racking of rod of tubing and pipe handling.
• Pulls and lays down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed.
• Keep work site and tools clean and in good working order.
• Mentor floor hand on day to day operations.
• Daily communication with Rig Operator on site operations and maintenance.
• Stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings (JSA) and tailgate meetings.
• Assist in lubrication and minor adjustments of equipment.
