Job summary

Precision Drilling Corporation is seeking a Rig Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on land drilling rigs. You will work on a 2‑week on / 2‑week off rotation, collaborating with rig crews and supervisors to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience diagnosing and repairing drilling equipment, with strong hydraulic troubleshooting and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling drilling equipment.
• High school diploma or relevant trade certification.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with hydraulic systems and the ability to read and interpret equipment schematics.
• Technical proficiency with SAP (notifications, maintenance reporting) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Amphion Drilling Controls, SBCs, and generator controls; valid driver’s license and pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on land drilling rigs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical components such as circuit breakers, panels, lighting systems, junction boxes, and control equipment.
• Test circuits, maintain spare parts inventory, and document inspections and repairs.
• Collaborate with rig crews, Electrical Foreman, and contractors to ensure safe operations.
• Adhere to safety standards and provide 24/7 support for equipment breakdowns as required.
