Job summary

Helmerich and Payne is seeking an RSMS Technician in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on remote diagnostics, troubleshooting rig control systems, and coordinating repairs for the land drilling fleet.

The position requires a strong electrical/electronics background and the ability to work on-site in a 14/14 rotating shift. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with several years of electrical/electronics experience, plus proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in electrical and electronics with related schematics.
• Experience interpreting prints, schematics, and test equipment.
• Proficient PC skills and Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming trouble calls from rigs and perform remote monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and communicate issues to maintenance and operations teams.
• Coordinate with field personnel, engineering, and vendors for high-priority repairs.
• Analyze rig dataloggers data to improve performance and reliability.
• Prepare daily status reports and journal entries documenting issues.
