Job summary

Helmerich and Payne is hiring an RSMS Technician in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating high-priority repairs for the H&P land drilling fleet.

The position requires on-site presence during day shifts in Tulsa, with a rotating 14/14 schedule to ensure 24/7 call coverage. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in electrical/electronics, proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI, plus experience in the oil and gas sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum one year formal training and 5+ years of experience on electrical and electronics theory and troubleshooting.
• Experience with rig control systems and field maintenance is a plus.
• Spanish speaking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remotely diagnoses problems with rig control system components including PLCs, VFDs, networks and HMI computers.
• Provide troubleshooting support to field maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate maintenance, operations, engineering and vendors to expedite repairs.
• Analyze rig data to improve performance and reliability.
• Prepare reports and presentations to promote organizational learning.
• Act as liaison between field personnel and engineering for technical inquiries.
