Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an attorney to manage rideshare and uninsured/underinsured motorist defense matters in a hybrid San Francisco environment. The role requires leading case work from discovery through resolution and direct collaboration with experienced partners.

You will draft and argue motions, take depositions, and participate in mediations/arbitrations while providing clear client updates. CA Bar license and 4+ years civil litigation required; 2+ years rideshare/UM/UIM defense preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CA Bar license required.
• 4+ years civil litigation experience.
• 2+ years rideshare/UM/UIM defense experience.
• Strong litigation, research, writing and case-management skills.
• Experience with motions, discovery, and depositions.
• Ability to manage files and meet deadlines independently.
• Strong client communication and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage rideshare and uninsured/underinsured motorist defense from discovery through resolution.
• Serve as primary handling attorney on assigned cases.
• Draft and argue substantive motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Handle written discovery and case strategy.
• Make court appearances and represent clients throughout litigation.
• Prepare for and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide updates.
• Handle pre-trial preparation and support trial strategy.
• Participate in trials when appropriate.
• Work with partners to develop greater case ownership and leadership.
