Job summary

Worlds of Fun is seeking a Ride Operator for the summer season to help guests enjoy the park's rides safely and enthusiastically. You will load and unload guests, verify ride requirements, and operate ride controls as needed in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

Ideal candidates are outgoing, reliable, and able to multitask while maintaining high guest service standards. This seasonal role offers hands-on experience in a lively amusement environment and teamwork opportunities.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Friendly, energetic, and professional attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and push up to 30 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with safely loading and unloading rides.
• Check safety restraints and ensure guests meet ride requirements.
• Operate ride controls when assigned.
• Monitor rides while they are in motion to ensure guest safety.
• Clearly explain ride safety rules and procedures to guests.
• Help maintain a clean and organized ride area.
• Follow Worlds of Fun safety procedures and Guest‑First service standards.
• Work as part of a team to keep rides running smoothly.
• Assist with other duties as needed by ride leadership.
