Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in mechanical maintenance, diesel repair, or amusement ride upkeep, with a strong grasp of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical or equipment maintenance, automotive or diesel repair, or similar field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot, and perform repairs safely and efficiently.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance tools.
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals and safety procedures.
• Welding and minor fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair amusement rides, attractions, construction equipment, vehicles, and park machinery.
• Perform daily equipment inspections using established checklists.
• Maintain engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep rides and equipment safe, reliable, and operational.
• Read diagrams, manuals, and specs when troubleshooting equipment and attractions.
• Identify mechanical and safety concerns by observing equipment in operation and listening for issues.
• Inspect parts for wear, damage, and integrity.
• Replace defective components using appropriate tools.
• Follow PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Complete work orders and document inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Maintain maintenance records and shop cleanliness.
• Assist operations with ride or equipment issues during park hours.
• Report equipment conditions and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Respond to breakdowns to safely return equipment to operation.
• Perform minor fabrication and welding as needed.
