  • Visually inspect and listen to machines to locate causes of malfunctions, wear, or failures.
  • Remove and replace worn parts using hand/power tools following safety guidelines.

Job Summary

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance of park rides, machinery, and equipment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring all rides and attractions operate smoothly, meet safety regulations, and provide an enjoyable experience for Guests. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to perform maintenance tasks in a dynamic, outdoor environment. The individual must consistently demonstrate a high level of safety awareness while working independently or as part of a maintenance team.

Specific Job Duties
  • Perform detailed visual inspections of assigned rides and attractions to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards
  • Perform rehab work on theme park rides and attractions, including refurbishments, component replacements, and system upgrades
  • Maintain, erect, repair, and troubleshoot various theme park rides and attractions using approved procedures and best maintenance practices
  • Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to accurately locate causes of malfunctions, wear, or mechanical failure
  • Remove and/or replace worn or defective parts using hand and/or power tools while following all safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on various equipment, including rides and attractions, to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed, along with accurate and detailed records of preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs completed
Minimum Qualifications
  • Should possess practical skill and proficient knowledge in two or more trades, such as mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, welding, and small combustion engine repair and maintenance
  • Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely in the presence of Guests and fellow team members, even during time-sensitive situations
  • Should have strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Must possess strong safety sensitivity and the ability to safely work with many different types of mechanical and electrical devices
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150 ft., crawling and working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and have the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles
  • Must have tools and equipment necessary to perform required duties and tasks as assigned
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record
