Job summary

SeaWorld San Diego is seeking a Ride Technician to inspect, maintain and repair rides and attractions, including elevators and moving walkways. You will disassemble motors, work with PLCs and hydraulics, and complete inspections with precision tools. A California driver’s license, 3+ years of related work, and owning a tool set are required.

Night shift availability is required for a full month, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive package including benefits and park passes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid California driver’s license required.
  • Provide own set of tools and secure storage.
  • Complete SWC driver training and obtain SWC license.
  • Able to interact with guests and diverse coworkers.
  • Know proper use of hand tools.
  • Able to work on compressors, air dryers, pneumatics.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Able to work at high elevations.
  • Pass maintenance cert exams on all maintained rides.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, install and repair rides and attractions.
  • Inspect elevators and moving walkways daily.
  • Provide excellent guest service and respond to needs.
  • Disassemble motors and control systems as needed.
  • Work on PLC controlled equipment and hydraulics.
  • Fill out inspection and work orders; keep ride areas clean.
  • Use micrometers, calipers and other precision tools.
  • Handle low voltage electrical systems safely.
