Job summary

Sesame Place Philadelphia is seeking a Maintenance Technician-1 to join our team. You will perform daily ride inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to keep rides safe and operable.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and can lift 50 pounds, work at heights, and adapt to weekend/evening hours. Join us for a fun, safety-focused environment at the park.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a park driver’s license.
• Ability to pass ride competency tests and obtain certification.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication skills and basic math abilities.
• Ability to walk uphill and work on heights above 150 feet.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods in extreme weather.
• Flexibility in working varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily ride inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services.
• Provide support in troubleshooting problems with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
• Consistently practice safe work habits including PPE and reporting unsafe situations.
