Job summary

Sesame Place in Philadelphia seeks a dedicated Ride Maintenance Technician to keep our attractions safe and running smoothly. You’ll perform daily ride inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure a safe guest experience.

Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, with flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a park driver’s license
• Ability to pass ride competency tests and obtain certification
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Strong communication and basic math skills
• Ability to work at heights and in extreme weather
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays

What you get to do:

You’ll be responsible for performing all general maintenance of rides in order to provide a safe environment for guests and team members alike. We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! You will:

• Conduct daily ride inspections
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services
• Provide support in troubleshooting problems with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members
• Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations

What it takes to succeed:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a park driver’s license
• Ability to provide and use basic hand tools
• Ability to pass all ride competency tests and obtain certification
• Must be able to frequently lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Excellent communication skills and basic math abilities
• Ability to walk uphill and work on heights above 150 feet
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand, walk, and work for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather
• Flexibility in working varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
