A language service company is seeking American Sign Language Interpreters in Florence, SC. The role is for independent contractors who can negotiate their fees and accept assignments based on availability. Candidates must possess an Associate or Bachelor degree, RID certification, and fluency in both English and American Sign Language. Additional experience in medical and mental health settings is preferred. This position offers flexible scheduling and access to support for invoicing and assignments.

Qualifications

• Must have RID certification.
• Must hold an interpreter's state QA equivalent certification.
• License or Registration proof required.

Responsabilités

• Accept or decline assignments as per your schedule.
• Commit to accepted assignments and arrive on time.
• Use the web-based invoicing platform for invoicing and assignment queries.

Overview:

Language Services Associates is looking for American Sign Language interpreters in the Florence, SC area. As a member of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. LSA is continuously accepting qualified interpreters for a wide range of interpreting assignments!

Responsibilities:

·Provide superior customer service

·Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality

· Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

·Adhere to clearance requirements as requested by clients

· Report on site to any accepted assignments in a timely manner

· Access to personal or public transport

Qualifications/Experience:

·Associate or bachelor's degree

·RID certification

·State interpreting licensure (as applicable)

·Fluency in English and American Sign Language
