The Chula Vista Elementary School District is seeking a food service worker to assist in food preparation, counting, assembling, cooking, heating, and serving meals in a busy school kitchen. General cleaning and related duties are also required.

Under supervision, you will maintain high sanitation and hygiene standards while working with staff and students to provide nutritious meals in a timely manner.

Formación

• Evidence of recent paid experience in food preparation or serving.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to prepare and serve a wide variety of meals.
• Ability to work rapidly and efficiently in performing tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with school personnel and students.
• Apply and maintain high standards of sanitation and personal hygiene.
• Sufficient education to have basic reading, bookkeeping and arithmetic.
• Ability to pass Food Handler Permit test upon hire.

Job Summary

Qualifications

• Current Resume for both external and internal candidates.
• Evidence of recent successful paid experience in the preparation or serving of food.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to prepare and serve a wide variety of meals.
• Ability to work rapidly and efficiently in performing tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with school personnel and students.
• Apply and maintain high standards of sanitation and personal hygiene.
• Sufficient education to have basic skills in reading, bookkeeping and arithmetic.
• Ability to pass Food Handler Permit test upon hire.

Comments and Other Information

Probationary employees serving the initial probationary period (6 months) in the District are not eligible for voluntary transfer. However, they are eligible to apply for a promotional opportunity pursuant to Article 11, Transfer of the CVCEO/District Agreement.
