Job summary

Rice High School in Rice CISD is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals while upholding quality, sanitation, and safety standards. The worker will follow tested recipes, manage portions, and assist with deliveries and storage.

Eligible candidates should understand food preparation, operate kitchen equipment, and perform basic arithmetic. Computer knowledge is preferred and occasional campus travel may be required within the district.

Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.

Food Preparation and Serving

• Keep garbage collection containers and areas neat and sanitary.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.

Other

• Maintain personal appearance and hygiene.
• Handle and record cashier functions accurately.
• Help record food requisitions and orders necessary supplies.
• Maintain daily HACCP and food preparation records.
• Promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members.
