RHT Professor Radiologic Technology - Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (10 Month Faculty)

Grant funded through 8/31/2026-6/30/2027. Grant funded through June 30, 2027 (position is contingent upon renewed grant funding by the terms outlined by contract through September 30, 2031). NHTI

Scope of Work: Educates students in the Limited X-ray Machine Operator Certificate Program and coordinates all aspects of clinical programming and experience. This position also participates in departmental initiatives and/or institutional activities that advance the mission of the college through the support of the Rural Health Transformation Grant (RHT).

This position reports to the Department Chair – Department of Healthcare Professions.

Accountabilities:

• Teaches an assigned course schedule including clinical, laboratory and didactic instruction, as assigned.
• Assists with the selection, placement, and follow-up of students.
• Simulates and performs competencies in the clinical setting associated with the LXMO Certificate program.
• Maintains a regular schedule of clinical visitation and provides clinical instruction to students during clinical visitations.
• Reviews and/or evaluates students during clinical visitations with appropriate measurement instruments.
• Supervises academic progress and maintains accurate records of student progress and accomplishments while actively participating in curriculum development and evaluation. Consults with and interprets progress and records of progress to students and maintains accessibility and availability to assist students with their learning needs concerning feedback from clinical instructors.
• Periodically reviews imaging cases and competencies individually with students.
• Coordinates departmental communications and operations by sharing teaching and learning methodologies with peers in a clinical setting, training and mentoring clinical personnel in regard to policies and procedures, serving as an academic resource, cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships with business and industry within the field of instruction, and providing leadership in the development of articulation initiatives.
• Provides electronic reports of clinical visitations.
• Performs competency based testing and related clinical tasks within the affiliated clinical Radiology Departments.
• Collaborates with staff of clinical agencies to provide students with opportunities to meet their clinical objectives.
• Observes all academic policies and procedures and institutional rules and regulations and demonstrates ethical and professional behavior.
• Maintains competency in clinical practice and imaging theory and remains technologically and pedagogically current within the specialized field of instruction through participation in relevant professional associations and training activities and collaborates with community health professionals and peers to identify current trends in imaging practice. Utilizes appropriate instructional and administrative technologies as required for teaching effectiveness and college operations/ communication.
• Engage in the systematic assessment of program and student learning outcomes, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and the implementation of continuous improvement strategies to enhance educational effectiveness and maintain accreditation standards.
• Assists Department Chair as needed to address and resolve any grant-related issues, communicating when required to the CCSNH Director of Workforce Development and the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Grant Manager.
• Supports Department Chair and participates as needed in statewide, regional, and Federal RHT related conferences, seminars, or meetings to ensure programmatic efforts are aligned with best practices and evidence-based models for RHT.
• Assists Department Chair as needed to address and resolve any grant-related issues, communicating when required to the CCSNH Director of Workforce Development and the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Grant Manager.
• Supports Nursing Department Chair and participates as needed in statewide, regional, and Federal RHT related conferences, seminars, or meetings to ensure programmatic efforts are aligned with best practices and evidence-based models for RHT.
• Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with major study in Healthcare Administration or Radiological Sciences. Possession of a Master’s Degree in education shall require twelve (12) graduate credits in Radiological Sciences and a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Sciences

Experience: Five (5) years of teaching experience in the radiological sciences, or five (5) years of business or industry experience in Radiologic Technology.

OR

Education: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with major study in Healthcare Administration or Radiological Sciences. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in education shall require an Associate’s Degree in Radiological Sciences.

Experience: Six (6) years of teaching experience in Radiological Sciences or six (6) years of business or industry experience in Radiologic Technology.

License/Certification: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification, NH State License in Diagnostic Medical Imaging, and valid driver’s license or access to statewide transportation.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Thorough knowledge of teaching methods and materials, problems and subject matter related to course of instruction. Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in postsecondary teaching. Knowledge of educational standards and procedures in the Technical Institute or College to which assigned. Ability to work with and secure the cooperation of others. Ability to maintain comprehensive records of the progress and development of the individual student. Evidence of good professional attitude. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
