Overview

Attention all Optometry Technicians: we are calling on you to work with us providing dental exams and treatment to our Military Service members. We will primarily work weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of AR on an "as needed" basis.

Responsibilities
  • Providing health readiness services to meet the medical and dental requirements for the U.S. Army Reserve, Army National Guard, U.S. Navy Reserve, U.S. Marine Forces Reserve, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, Air National Guard, and U.S. Air Force Reserve.
  • Working directly with patients, operating optical machinery, and interfacing with patient care software.
  • Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care.
  • Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system.
  • Assisting patients to select suitable frames for their glasses.
  • Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients.
  • Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyewear.
  • Keeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room ready.
  • Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician.
  • Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and fundus photography.
  • Proficient with computers, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
  • Must have own transportation for site traveling.
