Northwell Health in Norwalk, CT seeks an Assistant Manager Medical Practice in Rheumatology for a full-time role, Monday–Friday, 7:45am–5:45pm. You will lead a medical practice, optimize patient flow, ensure compliance, and collaborate with clinicians to improve access and experiences.

The role requires an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), supervisory experience, and strong computer skills. Travel within system locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the medical practice in alignment with leadership goals.
• Manages provider scheduling templates, hours and patient access per health system standards.
• Oversees staffing levels, hiring process, and performance evaluations.
• Solves problems and patient complaints promptly and effectively.
• Trains staff on health system policies, compliance, and regulations.
• Ensures revenue cycle processes support accurate billing and patient experience.
• Holds monthly meetings with staff and communicates system changes.
• Develops action plans to meet KPIs and manage expenses within the budget.
• Maintains practice facilities, equipment, and inventory.
• Oversees patient registration and check-in processes in coordination with Revenue Cycle.
