Baton Rouge Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant in the Rheumatology specialty to support physicians with scheduling, injections, pre-certifications, procedures, referrals, Rx calls, and phone triage.

The role requires Medical Assistant Certification, excellent communication, and a patient-focused approach; duties include patient preparation, education, and medication handling under physician authorization.

Formación

• Must have at least 1-year experience in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and team members.
• Patient-focused work ethic and compassionate care approach.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care as a member of the health care team within scope of license.
• Follows nursing policies, procedures, and protocols for adult and pediatric patients.
• Instructs patients regarding treatment plans, medications and follow-up.
• Documents accurately in patient medical records and supports team communication.
• Grooms patients for examinations and performs routine screening tests.
