Fairview Health Services in Elk River, MN is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Rheumatology Care team. This 1.0 FTE role offers an 80-hour two-week pay period, benefits eligibility, and no weekend work. Eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000; travel to other clinics may be required.

Responsibilities include supporting the care team, gathering information for visits, maintaining documentation, and ensuring patient-focused care while following clinic guidelines and policies.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN program.
• A clinical externship is required for non-certified MA applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc, Red Cross or MTN) is required.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN, to assigned patient population or individual patient.
• Follows the patient’s plan of care.
• Prioritizes work based on patient acuity, resources, and provider schedule.
• Performs high and low risk technical procedures including medication administration and CPR assistance.
• Recognizes when different approaches may be needed based on age or cultural differences.
• Implements assigned aspects of the patient teaching plan.
• Documents care in the medical record.
• Communicates compliance and concerns to the delegating physician/RN.
