Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Rheumatology Team across Morton Grove, DesPlaines, Bannockburn and Chicago Park Ridge locations. The role combines daily clinical tasks with front-office responsibilities in an outpatient clinic.

The position supports physicians and staff, handles patient flow, phlebotomy where applicable, and coordination of referrals. Phlebotomy certification and CMA preferred; orthopedic experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CMA) preferred
• Certification in phlebotomy with recent phlebotomy experience is preferred
• Experience in an orthopedic healthcare setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and manage flow
• Prepare patients for examinations and triage as needed
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Coordinate referrals for therapies, home health, and DME
• Maintain infection control and clean exam rooms between visits
• Perform clerical tasks such as charting and scheduling
• Respond to patient questions and communicate with families
