Job summary

University of Michigan is hiring a Rheumatology Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join the Rheumatology service at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor. The role supports Scleroderma and autoimmunity clinics, working with physicians and other APPs to provide expert outpatient care.

The position requires APP licensure in Michigan (NP or PA), graduation from an accredited APP program, and certification. A strong focus on patient education, documentation, and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as an APP in Michigan (NP or PA).
• Graduate of an accredited APP program and board certification.
• Active DEA registration and BLS; ACLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform history, physicals, and develop assessment and plan.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs as needed.
• Prescribe medications and participate in care coordination with the rheumatology team.
• Document care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
