Job summary

Optum in the United States is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Rheumatology. You will assess, diagnose, and manage patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases, in collaboration with rheumatologists and a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care.

This full-time on-site role requires NP/PA board certification, state licensure within 90 days, and experience in rheumatology; compensation ranges from $109,500 to $164,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP/PA program by start date.
• Current, unrestricted NP/PA licensure in state of practice within 90 days of start date.
• Board certification by ANCC or NCCPA within 90 days of start date.
• Ability to manage complex patients with chronic autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Post‑graduate or RN experience in Rheumatology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and diagnoses.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans with rheumatologists and team.
• Prescribe DMARDs, biologics, corticosteroids per guidelines.
• Perform joint injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound as appropriate.
• Coordinate advanced imaging and referrals for specialized procedures.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EHR and maintain compliance.
