Job summary

MyCHN is seeking a Rheumatologist to provide specialized care for autoimmune, inflammatory and musculoskeletal diseases within a community health setting. You’ll diagnose, treat, and develop personalized plans, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve access to high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have board certification, Texas license or eligibility, and a commitment to serving underserved populations. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus as we expand access.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible rheumatologist with relevant fellowship training.
• Active Texas medical license or eligible to obtain one.
• Completion of Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility.
• Strong communication and diagnostic skills.
• Experience serving underserved populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat autoimmune inflammatory and rheumatologic disorders.
• Manage chronic conditions such as RA, lupus and osteoporosis.
• Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based medicine.
• Perform rheumatologic procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with PCPs, specialists and care coordinators.
• Support quality initiatives and patient-centered care.

What Youll Do & Bring

• Make an Impact By Diagnosing and treating autoimmune inflammatory and rheumatologic disorders
• Managing chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis lupus gout osteoporosis and related diseases
• Developing personalized treatment plans using evidence based medicine
• Performing joint injections aspirations and other rheumatologic procedures
• Managing biologic therapies DMARDs and immunosuppressive medications
• Educating patients on disease management prevention and wellness strategies
• Collaborating with primary care providers specialists therapists pharmacists and care coordinators
• Supporting quality initiatives and patient centered medical home standards

What You Bring

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Active unrestricted Texas medical license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship
• Current DEA registration or eligibility
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical communication and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to evidence based patient centered care
• Preferred ACLS certification
• Experience in an FQHC or community health center
• Experience serving underserved populations
• Bilingual in Spanish
