Job summary

DEW Softech Inc in Trenton, NJ is seeking a Rhapsody Developer for a 12-month contract in a hybrid setup. You will collaborate with clinical and product teams to ensure seamless data interoperability between internal and third-party health systems.

Responsibilities include integrating with EHRs such as Epic and Cerner, building HL7 v2 and FHIR pipelines, and RESTful API support. Strong HIPAA compliance experience is required. This role offers 2-3 days onsite with flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with Rhapsody.
• 2+ years with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7 v2).
• Strong experience with Rhapsody and frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
• Proficient in RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience parsing/generating JSON, XML, HL7 v2 messages.
• Hands-on experience with integration tools.
• Database skills: SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle).
• Familiarity with SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Rhapsody Developer for a 12-month+ contract opportunity that is hybrid in Trenton, NJ. You’ll work closely with clinical, technical, and product teams to ensure seamless data interoperability between internal and third-party health systems.

What You’ll Do

• Translate clinical and operational workflows into technical integration solutions


• Work with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) to enable bi-directional data exchange


• Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment and monitoring of integrations


• Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security (e.g., HIPAA)


• Support and optimize existing Rhapsody solutions used by NJ Case Surveillance System related to Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR), Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) and Master Patient Index (MPI)


• Develop and maintain HL7 v2 and FHIR-based integration pipelines


• Implement and support RESTful FHIR APIs for internal and external use

What You’ll Need

Required:

• 3+ years of software development experience in Rhapsody


• 2+ years working with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR and HL7 v2)
