Job summary

Avery Dennison in Ohio is seeking an RFID Applications Engineer Co-Op to support product engineers developing RFID tags, printer systems, and reader systems in HF and UHF bands.

You will work in an office or lab, gain hands-on experience with RFID systems, data collection, and reporting, and participate in cross-functional projects that shape our Co-Op program and future hiring. This paid internship offers mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to IoT/supply chain applications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or other Engineering discipline.
• General familiarity with electronic systems and introductory programming background is preferred.
• Volunteerism or involvement in student organizations is a plus.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% and join for at least two semesters.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with engineers and influencing product development and customer use case decisions.
• Obtaining deep knowledge of RFID technology enabling IoT, blockchain and omni-channel fulfillment.
• Collaborating in a technical team, performing data analysis and reporting in spreadsheets.
• Providing support for RFID tags, printer systems, and reader systems in HF and UHF bands.
• Utilizing automated RFID test systems to collect data, organize data, and report results.
