Job summary

Qorvo RFIC Design Intern in Greensboro, NC is part of the High Performance Analog group. You will contribute to the design of multiple blocks including mmW LNAs, PAs, VCOs, mixers and Phase Shifters, with support from analog and interface circuitry in CMOS, BiCMOS, and RFSOI technologies.

Current students pursuing MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF/mmW focus, GPA 3.3+, and exposure to RF test equipment are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/mmW IC design.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3.
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred.
  • Software exposure: ADS, Cadence, HFSS, EMX.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self‑Starter with good communication skills.
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling.
  • Strong writtenand verbal communication skillsto conveycomplex technical information.
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products.
  • Ability to enjoy working in fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contributingto the design of multiple functional blocks including millimeter‑wave (mmW) LNAs, PAs, VCOs, mixers, Phase Shifters, Attenuators, Switches, Supporting Analog and Interface circuitry in state of the art CMOS, BiCMOS, and RFSOI technologies
  • Activedevice and electromagnetic modeling for high‑frequency designs
  • Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, power dissipation and schedule
  • Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
  • Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data

Qorvo’s RFIC Design Engineering Internshipsare offered in our High Performance Analog business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.

Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
