Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a motivated RF/Analog IC engineer to develop cutting-edge RFICs for SpaceX satellite and ground infrastructure. You will design, simulate, and validate RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits in SiGe or CMOS processes, working with cross-disciplinary teams across hardware and software domains.

You will derive subsystem specifications, perform floor planning and layout, and characterize prototypes to ensure high performance radios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer engineering or computer science.
• 2+ years RF IC experience.
• Preferred: MS/PhD in RF/Analog/Mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate and model RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems.
• Derive specifications for RFIC subsystems and circuits.
• Develop Analog/Mixed-Signal/RF/microwave circuits in SiGe or CMOS processes.
• Collaborate with system architects, modem/DSP and ASIC engineers to partition functions between hardware and software.
• Perform IC floor planning and layout.
• Model package and external parasitic components.
• Evaluate and characterize prototypes of the design.
• Characterize and analyze full radio performance.
• Assist in the development of automated test lab equipment for lab measurements.
• Work with manufacturing engineers on production testing and qualification of the RFIC components and systems.
