  • Assist in training warehouse staff on forklift, SOPs, and practices.
  • Maintain housekeeping and respond to management direction as needed.

Position Title: Lead, Warehouse

Location: Logistics Parkway, Rockford

Department: Warehouse

Shift: 2nd Shift

The primary function of this position is to support the day-to-day responsibilities of the warehouse supervisor applicable to the shift, and to provide direction to the warehouse staff as they support Planning, Production, Sales, Maintenance, Engineering, and Purchasing operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prioritize material handler workload. Promotes TEAM attitude between shifts, employees and depts.
  • Provide direction to team members in all areas of the warehouse; staging of work orders, shipping and receiving, transportation and other duties assign by Supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Accurately record, both manually and electronically, the movement of material. Must be familiar with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that deal with inventory, receiving, shipping.
  • Participates appropriately in all company initiatives including promoting a safe work environment and supporting 5s activities.
  • Assist in training and retraining of warehouse employees on items including but limited to; use of forklift, SOP and warehouse work practices.
  • Writes warehouse CGMP investigations.
  • Monitors and enforces safe work practices.
  • Coordinates movement of released components.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to housekeeping standards; maintain and ensure adherence to all safety standards and policies; provide back-up function for all warehouse activities when necessary.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
Qualifications
Required
  • Skills testing at approved grade level for position.
  • Basic Mathematical Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills: Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
  • Minimum Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations. Ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.
  • Intermediate Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions that may be furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
  • Ability to display original thinking and creativity.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

The hiring rate for this position is $22.15-$24.92 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
