Job summary

Murata Electronics seeks a Sales Engineer to design-in Murata products, maximize print position, and secure customer approvals. The role focuses on RF, cellular, and Wi‑Fi applications, coordinating with Product and R&D teams to address design challenges.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, SME in wireless tech, and strong CRM/office skills. Hybrid work from CA and domestic travel are expected with Murata’s competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; knowledge of electronics industry and products.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cellular and Wi‑Fi applications with RF focus.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Facilitation skills to work with diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving, business acumen and adaptability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM (Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of customer applications and develop promo strategies to maximize Murata sales opportunities.
• Study wireless industry and RF technologies to understand market needs and coordinate with Product and R&D teams.
• Educate customers on Murata product offerings and capabilities to increase awareness and opportunities.
• Achieve design-in/print position by executing promotional strategies and obtaining BOM and AVL approvals.
• Document and communicate sales opportunities and required actions using Salesforce and internal tools.
• Strengthen relationships with customer design engineering staff and initiate technical proposals.
• Provide accounts with sales materials, samples, roadmaps, and promotional programs.
• Prepare and present customer technology roadmaps and related technical materials.
• Direct and support customer approval/qualification requirements.
• Assist account manager with annual budgets and forecasts.
• Organize gathered technical and roadmap information for team sharing.
• Assist with customer quality issues as needed.
