Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc is seeking a Validation Engineer (VE) Co-op to support the Mobile Solutions Business unit in Newbury Park, CA. You will assist in setting up tests, gathering data, and analyzing results for high-volume power amplifier products used in cellular handsets.

The 6-month program runs June–December 2027. You will work with a VE team to optimize module performance and support design engineers in tuning matching networks.

Qualifications

  • Circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/GoldenGate/spectreRF.
  • Understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability.
  • A self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Hands on experience in lab debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Working with a senior VE to setup tests and gather data for compliance matrix
  • Performing lab testing using RF test equipment and analyzing/summarizing the data
  • Working with a design engineer to help optimize matching circuits for better module performance
