Job summary

Zdeno Solutions is seeking an RF Mission Operations Systems Engineer to support full life cycle management of RF systems at a customer site. The role requires planning, risk and configuration management, and cross-functional coordination.

Candidates should have a strong systems engineering background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a dynamic environment. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field with extensive systems engineering experience.
• Advanced degree substitutions are allowed in lieu of experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and coordination of all formally assigned tasking for the supported organization.
• Represent the organization at planning meetings and coordinate with staff for concurrence/approval.
• Manage more junior systems engineers on the task as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline

Master's or Ph.D. may substitute for two years experience

High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience

Position Description

This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year, and work is performed at the customer site. As an RF Mission Operations Systems Engineer on our team, you will support the full life cycle management of RF associated systems,including planning for deployment, operations, sustainment, and decommissioning of systems. You must be awell-rounded, experienced systems engineer versed in project planning, project assessment and control, decision management, risk management, configuration management, and cross-organizational/cross-functional coordination. You will be responsible for:

• Tracking and coordination of all formally assigned tasking assigned to the supported organization.
• Representing the organization at planning meetings, documenting RFO plans, and coordinating across the staff elements for concurrence/approval.
• Managing more junior systems engineers on the task as needed.

Desired Skills/Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 20 years of systems engineering experience.
• A Master’s or Ph.D. Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: a High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Ability to work well with the project leads, technical directors, and portfolio managers involved with modern communication methods.
• Experience with customer organizations and staffing processes.
• Knowledge of and experience with customers’ RF collection, direction finding, and processing systems is highly desired.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting to complete assigned tasks within the expected schedule.
• Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment that may require surge efforts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
