Job summary

Communications and Power Industries, Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking a hands-on Electronics Technician to perform tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments on microwave devices and systems, following schematics and engineering drawings.

You will operate test gear such as VNA, PNA, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and DVM; participate in data reporting, and support engineering and manufacturing with analysis and improvements. U.S. citizen required.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and collaborative work style.
• Ability to interpret schematics and drawings.
• Proficient with common test equipment used in electronics testing.
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Tuning, troubleshooting, adjusting, testing tubes and microwave products and systems.
• Operate related electronic and mechanical equipment for testing and troubleshooting.
• Follow predetermined test methods and modify setups as needed.
• Recommend changes to improve operation and quality.
• Conduct engineering/production tests and report data.
• Analyze rejected, returned, or in-process microwave tubes.
• Provide technical assistance as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
