Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Richardson, TX is seeking a test engineer to support Manufacturing and Test Engineering in an ISO-compliant cleanroom. The role involves DC and RF testing from DC to mmWave, calibrating S-parameters, and collaborating with manufacturing and process engineers.

You will operate a range of test equipment (PXI, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, DMMs) and contribute to process improvements, training, and on-time production. A two-year RF testing background and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent amount of experience.
• 2+ years of experience in RF component testing.
• Proficient with test equipment including PXI systems, RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
• Knowledgeable in RF testing includes S-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, high power RF, TOI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DC and RF testing from DC to mmWave in RF test lab.
• Setup and calibrate S-parameters and power test stations per standards.
• Troubleshoot test setups, assemble fixtures and wire harnesses.
• Collaborate with test engineers to improve setups.
• Report test progress to supervisor and internal customers.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, process and equipment engineering to resolve issues.
• Review control charts and react to out-of-control conditions.
• Use MES, FPS, Spotfire, Camline, FDC, MS Office for tasks.
• Identify improvements to safety, tool availability, cycle time, cost.
• Work overtime as needed to complete duties.
